India vs Sri Lanka Third ODI at Margao

IND vs SL 3rd ODI: India beat Sri Lanka to level series 1-1

Pace bowler Zaheer Khan took his career-best wicket haul as India defeated Sri Lanka by five wickets in the second one-day international to level the three-match series 1-1.
Left-armer Zaheer took five for 42 runs while Mahendra Singh Dhoni smashed a whirlwind 74-ball 67 and captain Rahul Dravid a responsible 82-ball 66 to help India to victory with 3.3 overs to spare at the Nehru Stadium. Sri Lanka had scored 230 for eight wickets in 50 overs and India made 233 for five in 46.3 overs. The third match will be played at Visakhapatnam Saturday.

Reported Earlier: Sri Lanka scored 230 runs for the loss of eight wickets from their alloted 50 overs in the third ODI played today at Goa. The Lankans were off to a weak start, losing 3 quick wickets for just six runs after winning the toss and electing to bat first. However, contributions from lower middle-order batsmen viz Atapattu (42), Dilshan (42), Arnold (66 not out) helped them put up a decent score. Zaheer Khan was India's top bowler, claiming five wickets for 42 runs of his 10 overs.
Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene won the toss and elected to bat first in the third ODI against India at the Nehru Stadium in Goa. The start of the match in Goa has been delayed by 30 minutes owing to the morning due which resulted in the outfield being wet. The Indian middle-order will be bolstered with the return of Yuvraj Singh and they will be hoping that he can strike form before the World Cup.

India vs Sri Lanka Third ODI at Margao

Nehru Stadium, Margao, Goa

Described by Lonely Planet as "succulently hybrid and determinedly individual", Goa is famous for its beaches and spaced out backpackers.
The former Portuguese enclave also boasts a cricket ground in Margao which has hosted five one-day internationals.
India have lost all three of their games at the Nehru Stadium, which was established in 1989.
The ground can take 27,300 fans and a few hundred Brits on holiday may well get their hands on the odd ticket.
