The Lankans were off to a weak start, losing 3 quick wickets for just six runs after winning the toss and electing to bat first. However, contributions from lower middle-order batsmen viz Atapattu (42), Dilshan (42), Arnold (66 not out) helped them put up a decent score. Zaheer Khan was India's top bowler, claiming five wickets for 42 runs of his 10 overs.
Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene won the toss and elected to bat first in the third ODI against India at the Nehru Stadium in Goa. Nehru Stadium, Margao, Goa
Described by Lonely Planet as "succulently hybrid and determinedly individual", Goa is famous for its beaches and spaced out backpackers. The former Portuguese enclave also boasts a cricket ground in Margao which has hosted five one-day internationals.
India have lost all three of their games at the Nehru Stadium, which was established in 1989.
The ground can take 27,300 fans and a few hundred Brits on holiday may well get their hands on the odd ticket.
